I was sitting on a bus this morning overhearing two school pupils talk about their homework .What interested me most was that they did not have a clue about the way they were going to tackle their assignment. They complained to each other about the way the work had been set. The conversation then became a discussion about the homework, rather than complaining about it and then it became a conversation about a shared interpretation of what was required. By the time they had come to their bus stop, they had created a plan for attempting the task and each one had a task to do.
